Film Student Internship

Job level: Junior
Type: Internship with a view to coming on board full time after 3 months if the right candidate
Education: Appropriate qualification – completed as this is a full time role
Full time: The role is a full time role

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Filming

  • Filming
    • Filming of clients as required
    • Understanding of creative filming techniques
    • Understanding and  of filming equipment

Editing

    • Creative editing of film
    • Research of Trends
      • Stay up to date with latest trends in film arts and visual communications
      • Share trends with the team

Creative Conceptualisation

  • Work with the creative team in order to conceptualise the direction of the work being done

Skills Requirements

  • Good knowledge of film and editing
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Premier pro editing suites

Equipment

  • Please provide your own equipment and editing software

Graphic Designer

Job level: Junior to Mid Tier
Type: Permanent
Education: Undergraduate or post graduate in graphic design

The designer has a good understanding of digital marketing and advertising and should have completed college or university in related field.

The designer must understand the latest trends in terms of fonts, colours and digital as well as print design.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design
    • Receive the brief from the client or account executive and interpret it accordingly
    • Liaise with clients and account executives in a professional manner and timeously keeping them up to date
    • Research the client’s industry to the point where you know it well and can apply your research to the brief
    • Manage hours in relation to agreed retainer / project fee – capture hours in time sheet and hours for billing
    • Draw up creative briefs for clients if they are needed and not provided
    • Brief third party supplier’s and manage outputs, especially regarding print work
    • Ensure that designs are print ready before sending to print and that they have been approved by all relevant parties
    • Get quotes from third party suppliers as needed
    • Check proofs from suppliers, make sure client has signed off before making live or giving go ahead
    • Come up with campaigns as per client requirements – in collaboration with account management team
    • Proactive creative design – initiate ideas as they arise
    • Follow processes and policies as outlined on Shared Company Server
    • Ensure work meets brand guidelines as well as client brief, goals and expectations
    • Alert Account Executives to any issues that need to be actioned
    • Banner design and animations
    • Must have strong understanding of good Website design
    • Ability to edit video
    • Ability to create basic digital animations
    • Designing video as required
    • Storyboarding
    • Stay up to date with latest trends in graphic design and online
    • Share trends with the team
    • Additional digital marketing requirements as needed

 

General Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe suite of products
  • Video editing
  • Video animations

Skills (advantageous)

  • Creative graphic design skills
  • Basic knowledge of online marketing, search engines, websites, social media and marketing

Past Experience:

  • 2-5 years graphic design experience in an advertising or digital agency or role
